Access to knowledge is one of the urgent needs of every child, which is immediately after everyday needs. Understanding this, the NGO ” Women’s Union of Kherson region” made a request to contribute to the technical provision of children for education and communication with the surrounding world. The team of Rotary Club of Uzhhorod responded to the call and bought and handed over tablets for children from Kherson.
School-aged children who remain in the city continue to live under constant shelling. It is impressive that even this situation not only did not discourage them from learning, but ignited a thirst for knowledge and development.
The team of the Rotary Club of Uzhgorod handed over educational tablets to children from low-income families who currently live in Kherson. 5 schoolchildren received gadgets.
– And these five tablets are not just gadgets, but a symbol of the fact that someone cares about the future of our children and wishes them success. In such cases, we should be together more than ever, – emphasizes Iryna Nikolayeva, Head of the NGO “WUKR“.
The implementation of this initiative became possible thanks to the cooperation of representatives of the NGO “WUKR”, the Rotary Club of Uzhgorod, the Transcarpathian representative office of the “Women’s Union of Ukraine”, the Ukraine-Hungary Interstate Committee, Rotarians of Hungary and the Hungarian Club “Rotary Klub Danubia Csólyospálos”
– It’s nice to see that thanks to reliable partners, your help reaches the addressee, in this case – children who are under daily shelling in Kherson! Thank you for your reliability, dedication and daily work, concern for the people of Kherson, – says Robert Royak, Chairman of the Interstate Committee of Rotary International ICC Ukraine-Hungary.
Public activists and philanthropists have joined forces to reduce the negative effects of war on children’s education and ensure access to resources. Additional efforts are also needed to overcome inequalities and imperfections in the education system, which may be more pronounced during wartime.
Children living in a war zone are forced to cope with danger and instability, with psychological and emotional stress. It is necessary to provide psychological help and support for them to help them adapt better and maintain mental and emotional stability. There is a lot of work ahead, Kherson volunteers emphasize. Therefore, the support of this direction from businesses, foundations and organizations is very important today in order to reach as many children as possible!
